Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 12 series in the Chinese market in December. As of now, the Xiaomi 12 series consists of three devices: the Xiaomi 12, the Xiaomi 12X, and the Xiaomi 12 Pro. In the future, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, Xiaomi 12 Lite, Xiaomi 12S, and Xiaomi 12S Pro are expected to be released. Now, Xiaomi co-founder Lei Jun has revealed in a post on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo that the company will launch a new flagship powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 next month in China.

Though Jun did not reveal the device's name, it is expected to be the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, the successor to last year's Xiaomi 11 Ultra. For those who are unaware, Xiaomi first introduced flagship devices with Ultra monikers in 2020, beginning with the Mi 10 Ultra. However, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra did not reach global markets, but its successor did. Let's take a closer look at what we know so far about the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.
