Ola Electric Car will be available on August 15; additional products may follow.

The 15th of August is a lucky day for India because it is Independence Day. Ola Electric, on the other hand, is looking forward to the day when it will unveil its first-ever electric car, much to the delight of the public. It will be the 75th anniversary of the United States' independence, and Ola Electric will launch at least one product, but there may be more.

Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal teases potential new products in a tweet.

Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola's CEO, has gone public with a poll asking people if they have any ideas about what the company will launch on August 15th. "New S1 at a lower price," "India's sportiest car," "Ola cell factory," or "next exciting colour on S1" are the options. Although we already knew that the electric car would be available on August 15, the poll has sparked speculation that the tech behemoth has other products in the works.

Ola could launch a new S1 at a lower price than the current one, or it could be a new colour, according to the poll options. Ola already has bigger plans for the future, including the acquisition of a 1000-acre plot of land to house its next-generation Ola cell factory for its four-wheeler EVs and thus the option. Finally, "India's sportiest car," an electric vehicle in the works, is set to arrive on August 15th.

Ola Electric Car, for those who are unaware, is expected to have a coupe-like roofline and four doors. Ola has already teased a red-coloured Ola EV with stunning DRL headlamps and an Ola logo on the front (and the back). We don't know any specifics about the vehicle yet, so we'll have to wait for more information from the tech behemoth.

Ola has been in a lot of trouble since entering the EV market. Its S1 and S1 Pro EV scooters have been at the forefront of the EV revolution. It recently laid off a large number of employees, and some of the company's top executives have also redesigned it. It was also rumoured that it would merge with Uber, but Ola has stated unequivocally that it will not do so.

It remains to be seen what happens at the launch event on August 15th. The electric car is undoubtedly one of the products on display, but we are hoping to see more than one product, so we'll see what happens. Ola's updates can be found right here.
