Motorola just launched the Moto Edge 40 Pro as their flagship smartphone for 2023 in Europe. The company introduced its flagship phone, which features a rebadged Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and a 50MP triple-camera configuration on the back. The business is now preparing to launch another premium phone in the Edge 40 series. Motorola Edge 40 5G is scheduled to be released soon. The premium smartphone will be released in India shortly after the Edge 40 Pro.

Motorola has not yet confirmed the phone's official release date. However, the official design photos of the Edge 40 5G have leaked online, indicating that the debut is soon. Let's take a look at the Motorola Edge 40 design photos, specifications, and other information that is currently available.

Motorola Edge 40 Design Leaked: What to Expect

The Motorola Edge 40 will be a high-end smartphone that will sit beneath the Pro model in the lineup. It could go live later this month. According to the Edge 40 design renders revealed by designer Roland Quandt, the phone would be available in three color variants globally. The colors will be Lunar Blue, Nebula Green, and Eclipse Black.  The phone will be available in a special Viva Magenta color option only for the US market.

The design is similar to the Pro model, with the exception of the dual-camera arrangement on the back. The Edge 40 5G will have a curved display with a hole-punch cutout in the center. The display also has tiny bezels at the top and bottom.

According to a recent source, the phone will start at EUR 599 (approximately Rs 53,500) for the base 8GB + 128GB edition. Its pricing in India could be significantly lower.

The features of the forthcoming Motorola smartphone were exclusively reported by MySmartPrice. The phone will have a 6.55-inch pOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The screen has a max brightness of 1200 nits and supports HDR10+.

The Edge 40 5G includes a dual-camera system on the back. The phone will sport a 50MP main camera with an f/1.5 aperture and the capability for optical image stabilization (OIS). A 13MP ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view will be included. A 32MP front camera will be available for selfies.

A MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC will power the device. The phone will be launched with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It will have a 4400mAh battery with 68W rapid charging and 15W wireless charging capabilities. The Edge 40 will ship with MyUX 5.0, which is based on Android 13.
